What tools do I need to install an AEM short ram in my 92 Si?
Checked the online manual and it doesn't go into removing the factory air cleaner box and resonator.

Money is tight and have almost no metric sockets.
So was wondering what size I would need to pick up to remove the old air box.
Also, should I remove the resonator or leave it? What advantages to removing it?

pretty sure all you need is a 10mm socket and a flathead. and you don't have to remove the resonator. only advantage of pulling it out is weight.

Flat head screw driver.
Brain.

Thats about all youll need. :clap
actually i think it may be a phillips head :hehe

edit: n/m you do need a flathead for the clamp on the tb... although you can use a phillips head on the actual airbox

if your resonator is still in... yank the bitch out while you're in the area :tu

Another question for you guys.

Anyone install one of those sheet metal heat shields over the cone filter?
Have seen them on ebay and a few other places and wondering if they work or just hype.

You will need

Impact gun
Torque wrench
cut off wheel
drill
drill bits
ratchet
metric and SAE sockets and wrenches
hammer
nails
jack
jack stand
degree in rocket science
flat and phillips screwdriver
chisel punch set
100 gallon air compressor
air ratchet
10 ft long breaker bar
1inch to 3/4 inch, 3/4 inch to 1/2 inch, 1/2 inch to 3/8 inch adapters

:D :D ;)

really no, all you just need is a flat head screwdriver and 10mm socket, maybe a extension, and you might want to lift it up a little so its easier to get under to get the air resonator box out of the fender for some weight reduction, since it would be a dead weight.
