yeah, the prelude's amazing at that speed for what the car is. it's not an all out sports car but it's remarkably smooth and in control the whole time. i would even go so far to say i feel more comfortable in my prelude at 150mph than i did when i went 150mph in my buddy's vette, which was vibrating, shaking a little and more wind noise than i expected from a corvette. just my opinion.Prelude1897 said:150 mph....I've taken mine all the way only once and damn was it crazy...It was a smooth ride though. Didn't feel the steering wheel shake or anything, just be careful if you do it...
I was waiting to see if you posted it.. guess not.lOOkatme said:I have a pic of a lude going 150mph....but my web hoster says I exceeded the bandwidth for the day everyday![]()
151 is crazy. must be hard to control with stering with the wind and all.del said:i've taken my car way beyond that point on my speedo all the way to about 151 at around 7400rpm. of course by 135 or so it was jus creepin upwards. i think it still had a little bit left to go if i pushed it further, but i don't know. honda claims a top speed of 137mph. some magazines say 143, 140.
actually when I maxed mine out...I had no problems with anything..felt like I was going 100.KustomPrelude said:

I was on stock rims..I hit 150 barely.....My mods were neuspeed sport springs/stock shocks....intake, exhaust at the time I did this.too_huge said:Its important to realize that aftermarket rims will skew the actual
reading of the speedometer.
to you guys who got 150mph+,
what mods do you have???
Yea, I was actually planning on getting rid of the govenor as the first thing, then I realized something, it's going into a civic, and I plan on living for atleast 30+ more years. So I'm going to leave itMatt said:why won't the jdm do over 120? if its in the ecu, that'll be the first thing i change, you better believe that!I didnt spend the money on a valentine1 for nothing!
