Ok, so on the L10 web page, it says you have to use their "Modification Service - Send your existing unit in for upgrade"....(1) what kind of gains should be expected from this upgrade, (2) how do u remove the stock "unit", or whatever it is u r sending to them?? thanks

you dont get gain's from a t/c modification what it will do is you will use your power band more efficiently by launching at a higher rpm. it will show in timed acceleration 1/4 mile 1/8 mile 0-60 etc etc .
they say it will take half a second off you 1/4 mile time, if thats true, then it would be worth it.

yeah, i knew that was probably too good to be true.:(
geaux4it got the Level10 TC and I think he picked up 0.2-0.3s in the 1/4 mile.
but how hard is it to remove your "stock unit" and send it to them?

Not easy. 4 hours or so for a skilled mechanic. Possibly 8 for a moderately skilled DIYer.
Will the torque converter upgrade make the tranny sufficient enough to handle the comptech supercharger? Or will I also need the PTS kit upgrade too?

Comptech says all you need is Redline ATF and a good tranny cooler and that's it.

He also had a rebuild unit that failed on him. I called level ten they said you could get any where from a full second to a half second off quarter mile times. He said "It would be closer to a second". I am alittle weiry about level ten. But I am sure it would be noticeable. I wished someone else had some time slips with a level ten torque converter.

Yeah I know.... what a great turn out that was :D I wonder if there is going to be another one.

Hows your car doing.... I saw you once on a street rolling buy...that thing look sweet ...i was gonna chase you but i was late for school. I wanna see what it looks like now if you dont mind. plus wanna ask you about your tranny upgrade and if you know what level 10 is good for. Email me at [email protected]

I'm always out on the island, by hempstead area. Also my prelude buddies are having a meet this sunday night at like 9pm at lynbrook train station....I dunno where that is may be you do. But you should come down and meet with us. I bet everyone is gonna cumm their pants when they see your ride....especially the HIDs. Let me know
anybody do some more reasearch about the level ten? Also, have you heard about www.protorque.com ?

I think L10 would be a better way to go, they seem a lttle more advanced... pts kit, valve body jobs, and the shiftronic.

I can see how could easily get a full second off your 1/4 mile times. I've got close to 200HP outta my civic (all motor) I don't know about you accord guys, but with an AUTO tranny it's robbin' me over 50hp. Well, let me know what info you've gathered over the last week! NEED ONE BAD!!

Also, I found a manual tranny for $200. It has 50k miles on it... but I don't know if I want to do the swap. I've been talking shit about beatin up folks with my automatic, so I'm not going to back off it that easily!!:D

You guys wouldn't go with the conversion would you?
o. damn.. thanks for that little bit of info...

THEY NEVER MEANTIONED THAT!!!

So that's why level10 charges 100 bucks more!

What about the rest of their stuff. Does protorque do that too!?

pro-torque does the converters for level-10.
If i wanted to upgrade my tranny on my Prelude, What would or should get done. L.I. ACCORD you think i should get the work done there or somewhere else. Also If level 10 has someone else do the torque converters for them ...should i just go and get the parts from those people and leave out the L10 people.

Help me out here:confused:
