Tranny going out

Well that Dual Friction clutch does wonders but it also FUCKED UP my tranny. Second gear always grinds no matter what. I tried to adjust the clutch but then none of the other gears would go in. My friend has the same clutch and has the same problem. What do you guys think, syncro's! I have a spare tranny, but it is a DX. Big difference in gear ratios! What should I do???

Well for one make sure that your adjust ment on the clutch cable is right. you want it to be loose so if you pull up on it you can see it catch. You don't want it so there is constant pressure on the clutch. This will keep the cluch engaged and cause it to grid when shifting. Other wise I would say it is the syncros 2nd gear is well know for this problem. Make sure you change the oil in your tranny too. It might help.
try and put honda mtf in might help for now and adjust the cable correctly like Projectzc said and if not ur syncro is bad its not ur clutch. give us a heads up on wut happens. the dx tranny isnt that bad i run 16.1 with a d15b1 std motor and a dx tranny no i/h/e just a mpfi setup
there is the possibility that your bearings in your clutch are fucked up
my car grinds on my 2nd to 3rd shift...i damn i hate that, but its only when im racing
when you're in 2nd @ high rpms and shift to third it grinds, but w/ normal city driving shifts it doesn't grind right
yups...normal driving there are no grinds what so ever in my tranny.
Have you replaced your rubber shufter bushings? I would consider those too, especially on a 10 year old CRX.

I have to be gentle with my 2nd gear when it is cold outside, but other than that, silky smooth.

Its weird, in normal city driving it grinds but when racing I dont hear any grinding. I'll change the tranny oil, but when I replaced the clutch I got all the bearings changed and changed the transmission oil. Ill keep guys posted! Any way, I know that the DX tranny fits, but how's the gear ratios, and will it affect my acceleration.
I can't vouch fo rthe 4-spd's, but as far as the 5-spdgoes heres the deal: the Dx 1-5 gears are the same as the Si, but the final drive is different, so realistically, you'll be able to take the Si final drive out and put it in the Si, if you want to spend gobs of money, or you could live with the "slightly" slower acceleration, and the higher therotical top speed.

i want the longer gears from the dx tranny
ELITE CRX my other crx did the exact same thing...I got sick of the grnd so I jus ran through the first couple gears everytime so I would not have to hear it.

DEFINATELY check the syncros
