yes..all d-series trannies will bolt on...especially since both are hydraulic...if one was cable then they would still bolt up...but the clutch would have to be converted..same goes with b series also...any h series can also bolt to an h series motor or f series motor and vice versa...

if you have a cable b16 tranny, and your car has a hydro clutch, then just get a hydro clutch. But if you cant find one you would have to convert it...I myself have not converted or seen the conversion so I dont know what it entails...I hear its a lot of work. thats one thing nice about b16 trannys and b18 trannys....both had a cbale series and a hydro series...so its easy to find either one...if you need help finding a tranny, depending on where you live I can get almost anything

this should make it simple:
5th/6th Gen, 92+: you can't put in a cable tranny w/out a mount kit
4th Gen: You can't put in a hydro tranny w/out a mount kit. I think HAsport made one.
