Use only honda mtf or redline i wouldn't trust anyone else. You will be fine with honda mtf even under harsh driving conditions, just change it a little more often.
im really hoping to get some performance out of changing my auto transmission fluid, i have 60k miles on my civic and i doubt it was ever changed
ah, well just use the honda stuff u wont get any performance increase out of any special type of oil.

don't hope for any performance increase with any transmission fluid.

that b&m trick shift fluid is a crock of shit, and i would NOT put it in a honda tranny. it says on the packaging that it's only for ford vehicles.

The fluid in an automatic transmission serves two purposes - to lubricate the gears and to serve as the viscous medium through which power is transferred.

all automatic transmissions use a torque converter. this piece of the transmission works kind of like two fans facing each other. One fan is powered by the motor, and the other fan passively spins as the air currents flow over it.

only in automatic transmissions the currents are in a fluid, not air.

so all automatic tranny fluid really has to do is keep from foaming and retain it's lubricating properties under high pressure.

If you want performance upgrades for your automatic tranny, get a new torque converter.
