well, if it's a 98 EX i can help you out. there's a couple of things in the way. first off, on the passenger side there's a huge ass airbox and if you haven't installed an intake you're up shit creek. you're gonna have to squeeze you little hand in there and take the bulb out and replace it.
on the driver's side, there's a cylinder type plastic container, not sure what's in it but it slides up and out of the way (it's still gonna be connected by a hose but i'll give you enough room) then switch out the bulbs and slide it back it.
hope you have a 98 EX and i didn't type all this shit for nothin';) haha

haha, Don't worry, I think those instructions are the same for 96-00, b/c it's the same way for my car.. The little cylinder plastic container is the power steering fluid.. And yeah, if you don't have an intake, haha, it's a bitch getting to the passenger side light..

I think he said headlight bulbs :p

ummm, take out that rubber grommet that covers the headlamp from water, then you have to kind of push and slide this metal holder thing. It looks wierd and has a screw holding it. Your best bet is to find a way to PUSH and SLIDE the metal piece, you know what it is when yo see it, you can push it in and slide, because that is how its held in. Reverse the order to put it in....

Sorry everyone I must have been wasted. I drive a 1996 Honda Civic H/B. I bought a new pair of Xenon blue headlights cause my old ones sucked. Installing them was more work than I thought. Thanks for the help. :D

Do you like the final product? Are they WAY blue? I never went for the aftermarket bulbs. Everyone that I knew that had them had problem after problem and couldn't see nearly as well. What's your opinion?

You remove your front bumper and then you can remove your headlight assemblies(four bolts each). Then you should have easy access.

They are very blue, and a little brigter than my stock ones.
Assuming you haven't figured it out yet:
  1. Pull the connector off the back of the bulb

[*]Pry the rubber cover off the housing

[*]There's a hair-pin style spring clip holding the bulb in place. Squeeze the two tabs that are hanging out and open the clip assembly like a little 'trap door'; it's hinged on one side

[*]Take the old bulb out and put the new one in. They are indexed and only go in one-way

[*]Close the little 'trap door' assembly

[*]Put the rubber cover back on

    [*]Plug the connector back in[/list=1]

As somebody already said, it makes it MUCH easier if you slide the coolant recovery bottle and P/S reservoir out of their brackets, but it isn't totally necessary. I've done it both ways...

    Hope this helps!

  1. Kinda sounds like he did figure it out. Since he can comment on what they look like. I dunno.

Hrm... could be taken either way. No harm describing the procedure anyway, right???
