just wondering wha is tha average cost for labor when having them install a turbo kit? any places with coo prices around tha bay area (510)?

It's usually anywhere between $400-$550 from what I have seen. I suggest you stand by as long as possible and watch them do it...just so you learn more about it.

i agree with matt. jes stand and watch someone put in a turbo setup. it could be done by yerself...well to me its pretty easy. otherwise look at paying btw 400-600 bucks for a shop to install it.

seems to me like the most complicated thing would be to weld an outlet on your oil pan for oil delivery to the turbo... just cuz i don't have a welder. everything else is pretty straight forward with modification. i'd do it myself but if you don't want to, watch em put it in.

Actually I used some screws with nuts to hold the flange onto the oil pan and then put JB Weld all around it. Looks ghetto but it doesn't leak. I'm not trying to win any car shows, I don't want oil leaks. ;)

WTF?? Cost more for a custom built????
Check out www.homemadeturbo.com He has
put togeather turbos for like 300 and they run great!
It can be alot cheaper to build a junkyard turbo.
But whatever shoots your curl. Blaze :rolleyes:
