b16a t3/t04e ceramic ball bearing turbonetics turbo. compression is good from the last time i check it, no leaks on turbo(other than a return oil line). smokes at cold starts then goes away. no loss of power. any ideas?

wont spin? if everything else checks out, replace the gaskets on the manifold, no mater what that thing should be able to spin, even if its really slow. It might take a while for the exhaust pressure at idle to get it spinniung, but it will.

Some turbos don't spin at idle, if its boosting fine then I probably wouldn't worry about it until it starts smoking heavy.
