im thinkin about building a Ls/vtec to put in my CRX
and putting Type-R pistons in to get the most possible horsepower as possible without getting like wiesco pistons in has anyone done this and plz tell me how they went in and if you had to do work to make them fit

I have them in my LS/VTEC and they're great. What is needed to get them to fit the LS is that the piston needs to be opened up to accomodate the fatter LS rods. tkaes the compression to 10.8:1 too.

I have never seen an LS/VTEC put out less than 150whp. I put 170 whp with type R pistons and a slight polish job. I really only built it to be strong. I know thatith tuning, I'll get more out of it. :D

wow! I stand corrected! I don't get that though... My friend has a perfectly stock LS/VTEC and he put 151.3whp when he dyno'd. Oh well.
