hey just wondering if i really need to change fuel pump to WALBRO 255 LPH HIGH PRESSURE FUEL PUMP to run a b18c1 on ek ? does it make any difference.

no not unless you plan on running more than 10 pounds of boost its unneccasary

stock fuel pump should be sufficient. Are there part differences between a GSR pump and a D16 pump? My guess is probably not.

as a matter of fact arent the fuel pumps the same...? i thought only injectors and thelarger fuel mapping was the difference..

pumps are different. However the sohc pump should be able to drive the b18c. You definitely don't need a walbro... Also if you use a walbro, you will have a problem adjusting your fuel pressure. And no, an adjustable fuel pressure regulator won't fix it.

stock fuel pump out of a 99-00 civic si handles 400hp easily, read my fuel link in my sig

EDITdrop that in there, might be cheaper than a walbro

EDIT i raed the above posts (my bad for skipping em) stock EK pump can handle 200+hp not sure on its limits

I don't think you should replace your current fuel pump. unless its broken. Stock fuel pump should hold even if you reach 400hp+.

No. only the ek 99-00 civic si's pump better fuel pump can handle UP to 400, anything more will overwork the ump and starve teh engine
