nobody on this board has ever driven a type S so we cant really tell you...RiceEatinAzn said:i mean does it have just 20 extra hp with all that stuff (cams, pistons, ect) or is there any differance in torque or how usable the power is ( is there more low end power and stuff like that)? ? a dyno comes in handy here
is it the same as putting type s stuff in a usdm h22 or even is it the same as putting on bolt ons that create 20 extra hp to a usdm motor
and do the transmissions have different gear ratios?

Correct, only the SiR S-spec has the LSDLudeAction said:

which is the better engine to tune up cost wise?CrazyUKLuder said:Ive driven a type S and there aint much difference to my JDM Vtec.
Little quicker but not much.
I would go with the JDM h22. The type-s is MUCH more expensive initially, and for the price difference between the motors, you'd get better gains in putting the money toward improving the regular h22.Greatness said:which is the better engine to tune up cost wise?
to tell you the truth. type S feels like it has less torque in the beginning but it picks up pretty quick after vtec. lude feels like it has shorter gears because of advantage in torque and a redline of 7400. type -s has 6 gears, and feels like it pulls a tad harder on the highway. if you race a type -s with a JDM h22a, it should be dead even or lude will pull a tad harder. usdm h22a, prepare to be left about a car length around 3-4 gear, cause thats where the type- s started inching away from meCrazyUKLuder said:Ive driven a type S and there aint much difference to my JDM Vtec.
