Hey guys, I'm new here, but I've been lurking around for a long time now. Anyhow, my question is...My friend is selling me his used Tokicos, Just wondering if used shocks are OK? He's had them on for about 6 months w/ 8000 - 10000miles. He dropped his car with Neuspeed sport springs.

Tokico Blues or Illuminas?

if its the blues, i wouldnt pay more than 150-200 for them
and since his car was dropped and has that many miles, i wouldnt expect them to last a whole lot longer.

Tokico's not lasting more than 10K miles? You serious? You mean we should replace our Tokico's every half a year or so?

Unless some very serious track use was involved, and I doubt a Honda Accord and serious track use go together.

well im talking about in extreme dropped conditions. I've heard of ppl blowing their Blues in like a month with a 2.5-3 inch drop.

although it may be rare for that to happen, i still wouldnt trust it. Especially since tokicos warranty will not cover them being blown from an excessive drop.

looks like sports will drop 1.8/1.7 so like 2 inches pretty much. Guess its not that bad, but im just not a fan of used shocks.

Whew! I had Eibach Pro Kit installed with Tokico Blues right after Thanksgiving, and you guys were beginning to worry me. But I think my car is only lowered by 1.75" or so. Yeah I know they are supposed to be 1.5" but I measured them. Maybe I should lose some weight or swap in a lighter H22B or something.
