What disc should i get for my vortech fmu if i'm running 14psi w/ 440 cc injectors. Is the 12:1 disc too much fuel w/ the 440s if i'm running 14psi? I heard someone say my fuel pressure will get too high at fuel boost causing my injectors to seize? Any help will be appreciated...thanks

ok if your gonna run a z-dyne or hondata you wont have to worry about it..... but if you dont i would get a 1:1 and a safc just cuz thre 440's and thats a hell of a lot of fuel if your not gonna boost that high ontop of that your fuel pressures with even an 8:1 would be REALLLLLY high
your talking at 10psi boost
140psi fuel pressure you'll get fuel injection problems like fuel injectors locking open and what not

you're gonna be seeing a hell of alot of fuel in there with that set up, enough to clog the system. id look to bring down your static FP. 440's with 12:1 is a hell of alot, i was running 310's with 12:1 and it was choking me. i dropped down to the 8:1 till my Hondata arrives. FMUs are ONLY bandaides to the problem

The problem with a rising rate FMU is that you are trying to match a linear increase (striaght line for the fuel) to a curve (boost rate). All you can do is find the best fit. The only way to be sure is to put the car on the dyno and swap out plates or springs until you get the best fit. A dyno with a sniffer will show the AF ratio for each rpm point on the pull so you will be able to look at how it changes and see if you need to increase or decrease the rate.

A programmable system like the Accel DFI or Motec, etc. is the best way to go, especially if you ever want to dial up the boost. I run 18 psi on my car with pump gas with no problem because I have a Motec.

Also, I keep saying this, but be sure you injectors are not so large that you are rich at idle. If you idle rich, you will wash out the rings.

What type of turbo are you running? IMO I think 14psi without some type of standalone or piggy back ecu is pushin it. If your getting 440's, then a 1:1 ratio FPR will work, but I'm not sure if you can tune the 440's with an Apexi V-AFC. I think 440's are a little to big, but I could be wrong.
