thats what i thought but i wanted to make sure.

thanks.
Same here ppl, i have a 2001 b-93p lude and it smokes when vtec engages... it is especially bad when the engine is cold and at slow speeds...

One time, I threw a flame outta my exhaust when I hit VTEC. I was racing a friend of mine in his GSR and he said my car threw a flame out the exhaust....Each time we raced after that, he said it never did it again. Of course all he was seeing the whole time was the back of my car.....

What is the b-93p you are referring to? Paint codes?

These are the only ones I know of...

1998

San Marino Red *R94
Eucalyptus Green *G83P
Flamenco Black *NH592P
Nordic Mist Metallic *B83M
White Diamond *NH603P

1999

Cystal Blue Metallic *B91M
Ficus Green Pearl *G98P

2001

Electron Blue Pearl *B95P
Nighthawk Black Pearl *B92P
Satin Silver Metallic * NH623M
Premium White Pearl * NH624
Milano Red *R81

yeah preludes actually run "too" rich... that is why a simple vafc tuned properly gives such good gains... rich means you bog.. but dont lean too much or youll detonate..

You shouldn't be hitting VTEC when your engine is cold anyway... I didn't think that the Prelude ECU would let you anyway.... hmmm...

~Peace
My bad about the wrong color code... its b-95p... IHPrelude94, it doesnt hit VTEC but you can tell where it would... there is a change in engine sound, but not power rite when VTEC would kick in... but, regardless it smokes... thanks for the info though...
