thaseint....you are wrong.....basically foam filters flow a whole lot more air, however they get dirty faster.
this is how a foam filter works...there are 2 layers to it and what the top layer does is filters the bigger particles of crap while the second layer has smaller pores to filter the smaller crap that gets through the bigger pores on the outer layer.....the airflow through a foam filter is a lot more to a K&N because a K&N is a Gauze filter element which creates more restriction due to the fact that there is only one thick layer rather then 2 thin ones and all of the dirt gets stuck on that 1 layer thus creating clogs in the airflow, what you have to realize is this....foam filters are not good for the street just as K&N filters suck ass on the dirt....the fact is foam filters do not filter the air as much as gauze filters do.
