when you strip the car, you take out all unecessary items: back seat, carpet, sound proofing, interior trim pieces, the dash, center consol, possibly the ac, power steering, maybe replace glass windows with lexan, passenger seat, door panels, replace body panels with fiberglass, etc. if you were to do all the things listed and then some more you might shave 200-300 lbs. stock 5th gens are rated at little over 2880 lbs curb weight. thats the DX model. LX/EX model weighs from little less than 3000 to little over 3000lbs.

you can possibly get down to around 2400lbs if done fully and properly.

Change the trunk lid, hood, sideskirts, front bumper, rear bumper and fenders to fiberglass or full carbon fiber.

Cut all long bolts to only necessary lengths

Remove cat, put in test pipe

Get ahold of Racing Hart Cp035-R wheels or Volk te-37's for lighter wheels

Strip door panels, all sound deadener, all trunk interior pieces, rear deck, all
speakers including underdash wiring for them, remove dashboard facia, glovebox, a/c material and power steering materials.

Remove headliner and sunroof (install a plug if needed)

Remove one bulb from each corner light, remove high beams headlight bulbs

Remove shiftboot, kneebolster, center console, rear seat, rear deck, all carpeting and passenger seat

And you should have a pretty lightened accord. hahah
