how's the car??

i went through crazy shit with my car over the last couple of months. i got the DC sports SS header and skunk2 intake manifold for christmas, i then put a downpayment on a set of skunk2 cams and cam gears. then some kid came into the shop and offered me his JRSC for $700, cause he was going turbo. i was like "hell yeah!!!". so i took the downpayment back off the cams to buy the JRSC. then the kid said he might have another buyer, so i thought i lost it. so i started doing some research on turbo kits, and got a KILLER deal on the greddy kit, from one of the shops we deal with. so i said what the hell, and started a savings account. i have a CD that is maturing in may, so that's the money i'm gonna use for the turbo 13's.....here i come i cant wait!!!!

this boost thing is really scary. i'm trying to take all the precautions needed to NOT blow my shit up i'm probably also gonna run an MSD BTM and a J&S safeguard. just to keep my piston rings intact i'm also not gonna go past 5.5psi.

how far into jersey are you?? i'll be at englishtown close to once a week. we'll meet up and race one day after i get my turbo.

chunky: Yea, Mike definately has "issues". It's his board I guess. A buddy of mine and I started up our own server so I have some forums running on it, but it's pretty low key. Some of the old SHO'ers hang out there too.

Pete: My car is doing fine. I still have dick all for mods. Somedays I wish I had FI and others I am content. It my daily driver and honestly I have other places I really the money to go anyhow. I fear that as soon as I started modding I would become insane in the search for power. Pretty soon I would be hawking off Grandma to get that set of cam gears I really "need!" I think I am actually going for the record low mileage award. My car is nearly 3 years old and I have less than 25,000 miles on it.

Aside from all that things are going pretty good. I am enjoying my Civic the most of any car that I have ever owned. One of the best things is the rarity of this model. I own one of about 6 SiR's in my city of 200,000 people. To see another SiR is rare and all the other Civic owners driving around usually take notice when I zip by.

Pop by the Madd Forums for a visit. We have a small gathering of peeps so it's a nice out of the way place to hang your hat.
