Not all motors the same. I had two same Delsols, exactly the same and they ran alot diffierent.
I wonder what things to look for when doing tune up, I mean more like some sensors.

hey lude action, put it to you this way. i have a 94 del sol vtec b16a3 and my bro has a 97 sport shift lude. i beat him and my motor is completely stock. he has aem cai, and greddy evo. its very close, especially when he added the exhaust. but i mean i double clutch and everything to beat him.

ive raced civic si's and beaten them by 2 cars easy. for some reason, the weight diff on the sol makes a big difference. if your friends have a civic si, they will lose for sure, given the dood in the sol vtec can drive his car.

i raced an si w/ aem cai and dc 4-2-1 headers, and beat him by a car. i think civic si's are kinda awkward. i mean, they got the same fawkin motor but more weight.

anything else youd like to know?

Power shifting is a whole different thing than double clutching. I've never heard those two things referred to in the same category. I've heard of heel-toe shifting or double clutching, which are both used in autocross. I never said that you don't powershift in a drag race, I was talking to guy that said he double clutched in a drag race.

Not Impressed with the DOHC

I always read about DOHC del sols running a 15.7 and barely beating DOHC civics....ok, wtf? I run 16.00 consistently with my SOHC del sol and i can beat DOCH civics. So what is going on. That is bone stock! The other day I got a chance to race a DOHC del sol and the race was to close for comfort! I think on a track the DOHC might beat me, but I really don't know for sure....so what is up? Any other SOHCs had experiences like these?

wow, the dohc vtec sol drivers must have really sucked ass. whenever i race sol si its not even a race, its an outright owning.

when i say double clutching, i mean that say im giving the car gas, all i do is stomp on the clutch real fast and it brings me higher up in the rpms. i am not talkin bout powershifting or anything like that. that is i guess my term for double clutching. sorry if i confused you all but that is what i meant.

btw, a stock lude would beat a vtec sol only if its manual. auto or ss would lose.

if you are talkin bout drag strip, then i dont know. i only street race where its safe. never been to the drags so i wouldnt know.

but yea, a manual lude would beat a sol vtec.

I have a delsol Si with I/H/E and no cat, plus wires and plugs. I ran a best of 15.9, and I am a good driver in case you are wondering. You must have those one in a million special engines that are just built better. Kudos for your engine! A delsol Si stock should run upwards of 16.8 stock>>>>
