keep OEM and save money for some thing else.
ya i agree w/ that. I mean unless you were going to be auto crossing your accord.....which really is pointless, you really arent going to need brakes like that. If you want better stopping just go w/ after market pads.
see thats the thing, my stock rotors have already turned bad, they already are getting discolered and have hot spots. Then i changed those to car-x rotors front and metallic pads front and back. The pads are already squeling like hell, and my rotors are so discolered from heat, that they look like a rainbow. so im looking for brakes that can handle my extremely agressive driving. so is brembo the only alternative, because those are pretty pricey.
What would you recommend for good aftermarket brake pads?
I warped my OEM rotors in 3 months, the pads were cracked to crap, I went to J-Power Slotted rotors and ACCO pads, same thing 4 months later, I then went to brembo crossdrilled slotted rotors with AEM pads and no troubles at all for 8 months so far. No Fade, No overheating, no problems, but then again I traverse a mountain road twice a day, If I don't use the brakes I accelerate continuously and either crash into the mountain or fall off of a cliff. One thing I miss about my last car... a stick, saved the brakes. If I leave it in second gear in the accord it just keeps going faster and faster, if I leave it in first it's too damn slow!

go for those ones made from brembo blanks and check out hawk street compound brake pads. a friend has this setup and he loves it. if you drive agressively, or have big wheels to fill, do it. especially at that price that is shown, you cant really go wrong.
I can get you Brembo cross-drilled and slotted rotors for $120 a pair, hit me up if your interested.

Nice rotors, illusion. Are these dimple drilled? I don't see holes, just some dimples. Nice zinc coating on them too. Your car goes too fast in 2nd gear? You must be driving on some steep and/or sharp curves.

Where did you get the cross-drilled/slotted rotors from? Typically, all you need are Brembo blanks. I don't think the USDM Accords would use Brembo blanks since Brembo supplies many JDM cars along with Nissin. But more importantly, get either Hawk HP street pads from Tire Rack or Endless pads from www.gropubuycenter.com for about $135 a pair. Yes, that's right... finally GBC is having a GB on Endless pads! Those two would be my top choices. But I doubt you'd get rid of squeaky brakes. Almost any brakes squeak and squeal every now and then. And it can be caused by many factors: pebble wedged between rotor and pad, hot spots, missing shim, or lack of lubricant.

Get Brembo blanks and Hawk or Endless pads! Cross-drilled rotors, such as PowerStop, have been known to crack and/or warp! When and if your rotors crack, illusion, please let us know. Thanks.

[EDIT]: I just asked some direct questions to them. I'm not sure what they'd say though. Because I'm not buying this dimpled drill/slotted rotor being better than high-quality blanks.

well if you guys need Brembo rotors or any performance part hit me up at 909-598-3494, i work for a shop so i can hook you guys up. I can do the brembo rotors for like $125 a pair. Ive had my Brembo rotors with AEM brake pads for 6 months now and i havent had a problem yet.
hey showgunz, if you want Endless Vita Nuova Sport/Street Pads, autoimaging.com has them for $129.95 + $10 shipping, and that is cheaper then at GBC $135+shipping
I got mine from islandmotorsports.com on a groupbuy, well at least a buy they had advertised on groupbuycenter lol.. I've been really happy with them, I'm not sure what it is, if it's the pads or the rotors, or a combo, but I love these brakes(if they die again I'm going big brake kit though). I used to be able to smell burning pad about 1/2 down the mountain on the OEM and the J-Power rotors I had. I had a few times where the brakes would fade so bad I'd pray to the almighty make me stop gods so I didn't go off of the cliff. I've had this setup start to fade a little, where the pedal got a little bit spongy, but I've yet to have them fail on me(knock on wood). For the price I'm defiantely happy, I think I spent a hair over $300 for 4 rotors and pads. Oh the front are dimpled, the back are crossdrilled..

not sure if this link will work but highway 9 on this map is what I drive every day.. from where it says saratoga to where it crosses highway 35 it goes from sea level to 3000, then after 35 it goes back down to about 1500 when I get to my house, I get to make that nasty 90° turn where 236 splits off then around some of the harriest turns I know of. There's 3 15mph turns on my way and it's funny because they are the only 15mph turns I know of that aren't kidding, if I'm going over 15 I'd kill myself, on the way to work they are uphill switchbacks, meaning you go one direction make a 180° turn uphill... weeeee... it's about 20miles, and takes me about 45minutes if I drive normal and about 35 if I get a little nutso, I can make it in about 25 on my bike :D

Thanks for the link on the Endless pads, dude. I think the guy on GBC is doing a flat rate to ease pricing issues. I'll look into that company when I need some.

Man, illusion, you must learn how to drive quick. I'm not even sure if school buses would come to your house or your neighborhood. That steep of an elevation is no joke. I don't know why they built houses in your area, though. That's like living on the edge, literally. :D

Anyway, I think it's your pads that are giving you much fade. Those AEM's are for street use, not really high-performance. Your rotors look great by the way. I guess I'll look into them when I need a set.

THANKS ALL.
Getting big brakes and good pads without stainless steel lines is like putting $150 Nikes on a runner with two broken legs....I recently put my setup to the test..on the highway I was doing about 115 closing in on this GS400, although i high-beamed numerous times the dumb fuck wouldn't move so i ended up stepping on the brakes, slowing down from 110 to about 45MPH within like 40 feet the car stopped nicely and the pedal was real firm..but i smelled burning for like 2 minutes after that...maybe its my rotors, maybe it was the pads..who knows...

I agree with Mikey, upgrade to stainless brake lines if you're going to do a brake upgrade. Also, get some better brake fluid as well.
Well, no one I know gave me some hard proof or reasoning as to why someone should get SS brake lines. From what I hear, it improves your pedal feel. People who got the SS lines don't say that it decreases the braking distance or improve the performance. It's more of a "feel" upgrade.

Mikey, so have you done similar braking like that on your car before you got SS lines? I'm wondering how you can say SS lines gave you that improvement? I mean is that the only thing that's changed in your brake setup?

Elaborate these other benefits of SS lines, guys! I don't even know how it feels or what not.
I'd get those rotors...seem like a pretty damn good price..however I'd be worried about quality issues since theyre so cheap...if I were you I'd invest a lil bit more money and get some Brembo rotors, slotted, the cross drilled arent as necessary since the slots will help vent the excess heat from braking to prevent brake fade etc....
you get what you pay for...Spoon all da way...but in your case...i'd save up for brembo's or a proven brand...my 2 cents...paycers...
