Hey everyone. I am currently the owner of a 2oo1 Prelude SE (CDN).

I was in my local dealer today and they had a 2k S2k for $38,ooo ($23,5oo USD). It has 14,ooo km's on it and looks almost MINT. It was a corporate Honda car, and has new tires on the rear. Is this a 'steal' or is it better to get a 2oo2 model for $48,ooo? What are the differences with the two model years? (can you put a hardtop on a 2000 model?) etc.

Thanks in advance

first off.... i don't know where you are from so i don't know the competitive prices in your area. as for the used 2000 S2k at 38K is a rip. With 38K I would just buy a used NSX because you are walking out the door way over 40K. As for the 2002 S2K at 48K now you are joking. With 48K you can get a very nice 1997 or 1998 NSX.

i am not dissing S2000 because I own a 2002 S2K and i didn't pay those prices you shared with us. i am glad that dealers are asking for that price though. it gives my S2K great value. so where you from?

I thought I was clear that the prices were in CDN. Anyhow, I am from the Toronto Area in Ontario, Canada. How do you like your S2000?

02' is better for the rear window....Plastic sucks....Also, the center console on 02 has leather over the whole thing and not part carpet like the 00, and 01. Also, the 02 has a far better sound system with tweeters in the doors. One more thing is the tranny, i heard somewhere that they modified it to make the shiftin smoother, but i'm not really sure. Exterior is still the same

23,000 USD sounds like a fair price for a 00, you can probably work them down a lil if thats what they are asking.

Just remember. Tax when you register back home. I was about to order an S2K at Arizona which was free from tax, but they warned me that I will be taxed when registered. I don't know. I never done it, but you should personally talk to someone who did. BTW. Smog check too!

That depend on if your country will charge you duty on it. I am not sure about that. There is a rule about cars and if they are used, I am not sure. Call US Customs & Immig
