Hey guys im new to hondas but not to turbochargers.....

SO I was wondering whats the best way to run cams on a b18c1 when using forced induction....would the stock cams be best or would type-r cams make a difference? Also what about overlap? Is it possible to dial it out with cam gears?

EDIT: Also how does v-tec come in to play with all this crazyness?

type-r cams would be bad for turbo....they are made for high revving all motor cars, not forced induction.

do you have a vtec engine?
if your worried about vtec overlap with turbo you can just turn it off.

no not that I know of, when you run forced induction on a vtec motor, changing the vtec point can help or hurt depending on the cam and modifications. You want a cam with little valve overlap. A stock cam is better that a n/a high perf. cam when you are runnnig boost. fyi

if you want real perfomance for a tubo set up call up crane or crower and they will take all info from as far as motor and car specs and turbo specs and custom grind a optimal cam (optimal in their opinion) for a abot 650
