What OS do you guys use? I'm using XP Pro right now but thinking about makign the switch to 2k Pro. Let me know what you guys use and WHY!

I'm using XP home, it came with my computer. It hasn't given me any troubles so far.

I'm currently using XP pro. I used to run 2k pro and was a little hesitant to switch over due to early bugs that XP was having. I like XP pro better mainly because the installation is soooo much easier compared to 2k pro.

on my old comp win00 ran smoother. now in my new comp i have xp pro.. it it's alright.. kinda slow...even with all the shiet turned off..

Win2K for me. I had XP for all of 24 hours before I removed it.
Also running OS X, FreeBSD 4.7, and Mandrake 8.0 on other machines.
I like to keep my options open.

XP Home for now. I'll probably install Linux on my laptop when i get it along with XP.

I'm using XP Pro and XP Home. I can't seem to get the Remote Access Connection Manager to get started so that I can use Dial-up, so I had to install XP Home on my 20GB HD and use that for when I want to surf on dial-up and just use XP Pro when I go back to broadband.

Yo cryogen, you try tweaking out your laptop with TweakXP? If not, give it a shot. I had a Sony SR7K that ran fine with XP Pro w/ SP1 tweaked. The laptop had the same specs on your current laptop.

for tweaking, I really like x-teq's X-setup. It's got more options than any other I've tried.
