from what i know 225 is a little too wide. it also depends on how low your car is. i would go with 40 series, i personally think 35 series is a little to low and could also make your rims more succeptible to pot holes.
I had the same dilema.
225 will be too wide if your car is lowered too much and i personally think 35 series is way too low especially if u live in an area like NYC where potholes are an everyday thing.
Also with 35 series your ride gets a little harsher.
u need these tires

it is recommmended that u use 215/35/18. it will not rub and it will not throw off your speedo or tach. it is meant to replace your tire if u drive an accord with 15" stock rims. it may be low profile but just drive carefully. trust me use these, i do.
215/35....now thats really low profile...if you go too low you may bend your rim next time you hit pot hole
225/35 should be a little better
the 215/225 is actually the width of the tire. the 35 is the profile of the tire. so a 215/40 series would work.
i have 225/40/18 on nuespeed sports and it doesnt rub, it really depends on the offset of your rims and on how low your drop is...

j

i would nt go any lower than 40's cuz 35 is plain scary when it comes to denting rims...

What rims do u have and what is the offset??
advan siena gen II rims (18x7.5) offset 45
I would go 225/40/18 I had 35's on my car before (01 accord coupe) with my 18" 3 pieces and in the past 4 months, I have proceeded to bend all four of them. 35's just dont' provide enough cushion for your rim. I like the 40's better so far and they fill up the wheelwell better. Only problem is that the back ones rub so i'm gonna have to get the fenders shaved.

I really don't know. I have Sportlines on it. 1 finger in front and none in the back. I'm thinking of getting coilovers because i didnt' want it so low. I would prefer 1-1.5 finger gap all around. Any suggestions besides coilovers? Other than that, I'm happy with the ride.

U don't wanna rock with coilovers unless u live somewhere with smooth roads.
U might wanna look into neuspeed sofsport sprints.
What is the 1st set of numbers tell you? For instance, I have 225/40/18 Nitto NT555. What is the 225?
