i have the same problem, but i havent lower my car yet, mine is due to camber prob i guess, the only thing i could think of, what else could cause it with a stock height car, ... i do have 16 inches rims though.... Anyway it gets irritating at first, but sooner later you'll get use to it, guess thats the price to pay for the looks you get...

Maybe your car is too low with those sized wheels, and with only lowering springs to doesn't help.

roll your fenders, get new springs or coilovers, or let them tear up those shitty ass proxies and get some new rims and ESPECIALLY tires proxes suck! i have em now, never driven a tire this bad, hydroplane like shit, handle like crap in water, dry traction isn't even that great. kuhmo is where it's at.

you dont have the ideal offset rims which for civics is +42
but it shouldnt be that bad.
i belive your struts must be blown. i mean a stock strut cant last long with a race spring.
try removing the plastics and hammer that weld.

can't you get spacers to make the offset +42?
i dont really know. but i think that the spacers will cause the rims to stick out even more.

yeah, i'm confused at the whole offset thing, i get it then i forget it lol. but i thought the +40 would cause it to rub on the inside not the outside? i don't know i'm clueless lol. cuz my konigs are +40 and i'm getting it lowered tomorrow on sportlines.

Answer to rubbin questions

For the one who is dropped like 2.5 inches, just remove your plastic guard, and fold the weld tip....it's that simple!, then you can drop it another 2.5 inches if you want.

And for the one who is stock height and rubbing, well that is just sad, civicss are like 3 feet of the ground stock, even on 20" rims you should not scrub, but if you do on your 16" rims then you might want to check your axles, or you need some major allignment.

But either way, good luck! happy hunting on hte street
