I have a 92 Civic CX hatch
I was just wondering if someone could list all the possible motors that would fit into it or basically bolt up to the existing mounts. Also what is the cheapest ($$$) DOHC VTEC/Non-VTEC swap I could put in there? Thank You.

try a first gen jdm b16a. they're cheap and should bolt in without too much problems

ls engines aren't very expensive either. great bang for the buck especially if you ever go turbo.

Will a 1st Gen b16a swap directly in. Or do i need to get the 2nd gen b16a2?

Any of the b series engines would fit with stock mounts. But you should upgrade them if you can. I know for a fact that the sencond gen b16 will fit. The 92-95. I dont know if the 1st will bolt right up.

b16a1 has a cable tranny, while the 92-95 have hydrolic. conversion is kinda expensive. go for a 94+ ls engine, not too expensive and decent power
