Im looking for a hatchback to buy for a B18C engine swap in the future.

I was thinking a 94 or 95 dx.

What are the differences of a 94 DX model to a 97 DX model (besides the bodystyle and headlights)?

5th gen si, automatic is the key word
EH?

Ummm...you do know that no Si model has been sold with an automatic transmission, right?

I agree. 92-95 hatches are the best looking Civic's ever.

The 88-91 CRX's follow, then the 99-00 Si's.

Then there is just everything else Civic that is mostly blah.

Besides looks, it's also the Civic that is the same platform as the Integra engine you're going to be dropping in, so the swap will be easier.

sleeper

If you are dropping in a VTEC motor, go with the 94-95 Civic VX - already has the VTEC wiring harness built in and it's the lightest.

The 5th Generation Si will work too, good luck finding one... but if you want to go sleeper-status, get an HX coupe (same weight as a 5th gen Si!!)

i have a crx w/ a b16 and si tranny (check the profile), and i beat a lot of cars out there. But to tell you the truth, i'd rather have a 00 hatch, just so i could imulate the CTR. Now thats my dream :p
