What's going on here?

Just picked up this 04 S2000 and I'm wondering what's going on here with these speakers and wires?? What exactly did the previous owner do because I'm not sure what the car was supposed to look like from the factory. What did the hoops look like stock? Was something added? Am I missing some speaker grilles? I'm still learning about the car.

Those speakers are aftermarket. OEM roll hoops have open space. It'd look better without them in there. I know later years Honda integrated speakers housed within the roll hoops, but those are useless from what I've heard from owners.

Honestly, the S2000's premium sound system is the pipe(s) that exit in back. Honda's poor excuse for a radio in the car is useless over 60 mph. Those speakers installed in your roll hoops might help a bit, but I'm not sure I'd want a speaker that close, blasting the back of my head.

Holy crap you still browse here too?

Did you ever get a big brake kit for your S?

I want your rear caliper brackets!(think) been looking to slap some 11.2 rotors in the back when I do 11.8 up front. Its a damn shame the honda community doesn't have extensive caliper bracket profiles logged somewhere.

Do you know how tall your brackets are? I ordered legend brackets but they aren't tall enough and their offset is way wrong.

Yup... been a long time since I've been here though. Just kinda stopped by to see if the threads from a year ago finally made it off the first page. LOL! This place used to have a ton of activity, and then it just...well,... stopped. Don't know what happened.

Yup... kind of. I got the Spoon Monoblocks. They use OEM rotor diameters, but without the flex from OEM calipers. I'm running SS hoses too. Pedal feel is really nice.

Sorry, you can't have 'em. LOL!

Nope. Never measured. Send me a PM with the exact measurement you are looking for. And it unfortunately might take me much longer than you're willing to wait for me to get an answer to you. I've been extremely busy lately. Late June might provide more time to check this stuff out.

I took a tape measure and a few photos. Sent a fb link to ya on pm, so you can see my caliper bracket.

Ill try to get exact measurements from centerline of each bolt hole to the top of the bracket. The brackets offset is important too, just not nearly as much as the height. The calipers fitment wont be an issue, they all bolt on any bracket. I may even try using the s2k brakes for the rear if they fit right... that is if the caliper bracket is tall enough. :)

You could just mimic my photos and send me a link.
Thanks for that post MortsAccord, it's helped me with something I was having a problem with!
