whats the diff. b/w ceramic and a stainless steel header?

Okay, besides the actual material..what is teh diff. performance/longevity wise...why should i get stainless over Ceramic or vice versa?

yeah i think that performance wise they are both the same...the thing is that SS is always more expensive the ceramic

performance is not the same....SS is heavier, more bling and more durable. Ceramic is a lighter steel, but coated w/ ceramic. the ceramic coating keeps heat inside the header. SS on the other hand, is a good conductor of heat. hotter gasses inside tubes = higher exhaust velocity = more power.

if you want durability though, you can get your shizzle heat treated. check out jet-hot....they do thermal coatings similar to how my mr-s header was treated.
