What's the widest tire that can fit on a 4th gen EX stock rim?

I want to get bigger than the stock 195/60. What will fit on the stock rim? I see a decent deal for some Dunlop SP Sport A2's, but they are 205/50s and I need to know if they'll fit.

you should really get a 205/55 or 205/60 to keep your spedometer happy, also with a 205/60 you get a little bigger sidewall that helps close the fender gap (if you're not already lowered)

but yes, a 205 tire will fit on the tiny 15x5.5 EX rims.

dude be very glad that you dont have the Lx rims mine are 14" by like 5in or something close to that. I went to a tire shop and they said the biggest they can fit on there are 195/70/R14 stock my tires are 185!! they dont hold worth a shit!

My guess is that you shouldnt go larger that 225 on the width, go to a tire shop and ask around. But im pretty sure you want 225s MAX and even then those might rub if your lowered, but it all depends on exactly how low, rims, etc. good luck

i saw a 98ish celica in the parking lot at school with 235/40/18s... damn they were meaty. with the right offset and proper width i think you could fit 225, or even 235 without rubbing (even if lowered).

on the 4th gens if u go higher than 2o5 on a 15'' tire then you will rub. i tried to put that on my car hahahah it was co..but i couldnt turn. maybe if i raise the car..haha hell no

it just depends on the wheel wall clearence, some cars can have hecka big tires while others cant. just like the porsche that can take a really wide tire i think 9''

How would 225/50/15 Falken Azeni RT165's fit on 15 x 7 " rota slipstreams on my 1992 Accord? Would there be any rubbing?
