This is my first post. I had a Del Sol for from 99-03 when it got
ripped off and chopped up. I just got another one this last week
and I'm pretty damn happy about it. Went through six years and
5 cars before ending up with another Del Sol.

Car is in great shape except for a couple dents and the alignment.
Now, I've done many things to many cars including having sex
with one or two..But I've never done an alignment on any of my
cars. Can anyone give me any tips on aligning my Del Sol?

Yeah, stop having sex with cars - that's just kinda weird. As for alignment "tips," what kind of tips do you need? It's not something you do yourself; just take it to Firestone and pay a lil extra to get a "lifetime alignment."

Even ole' Jethro at the garage had ways of doing alignments
before computers. I was looking for "This sticks on my Del Sol"
or "I had a hard time doing this.." or "this bolt is tricky"...

..I shouldn't do engine repairs or bodywork myself either, huh?

unless you have the right equipment to accurately measure your
camber, caster, toe, etc within tenths/hundreds of degrees than it
would be unwise to align your car yourself. you might manage to get
you camber decently corrected but I wouldn't count on getting your toe
right w/o a computer...just my thoughts

Pay a shop to do your alignment. End of story. Much cheaper then getting the equipment to do it.

That should get the job done but I would prefer to get a more modern unit to trust it with your car. Like this

You all don't recognize the irony of a tire sales shop selling alignments? Just set these toe angles like so and they come back every 10k miles for tires, what a plan. Just find a Honda or Acura dealer that does the alignments in house and ask to have a print out when they are done. The small places are not to be trusted including Firestone.

Good point. But Im smart and have a family friend's shop do the alignment, sio no worries for me....

Not all tire shops are like that though, but there are those types out there, so it pays to be cautious and ask lots of questions, like gettting a print out

this is why I go to people I know and trust or have done business w/ for quite a while. and I always make sure to get a printout of what specs it's been set at when they're done - that's just common sense
