Is the universal taper on wheel nuts, or the tapered seat on the wheel 60 degrees?
Also, if you look at Spoon's aluminium wheel nut lineup:,

the gunmetal grey nut has a much "shorter" taper that the red or blue ones. Will this "shorter" taper still fit & work the same as the "longer" tapered wheel nuts?

Man you come up with some good questions but judging by the looks of it in the picture the only difference is the distance it tapers which wont matter since the taper is still there just shorter. It's not like it doesn't taper in which case you would be screwed or nutted or something. You wheel would shake loose.........
