shift when you don't feel you car pulling, i shift right before redline...

peak shift point is when torque for the lower gear drops below the torque available in the next gear... depending on your mods this will be different for every car tho; so you'd need to get your car on a dyno to find each shift point.
but it's a good bet, with a near stock (only bolt on mods), that you should just take it to redline. as for street driving tho, i recommend 3,000 rpm.

I shift before it redlines...or the point you don't feel your car pulling ne more.

Do this on a back road....and study. It takes time and practice to get it right.

P:S.... On my lunch break I just beat a modded 240sx by luck and thats with my shifting..... Wheeeeew I got some skillllz MAD SKILLZ!!

most people shift "at" redline or right before redline....

I think they had a previous thread before on this subject which also talked about how to launch your car, reaction time and all that good stuff...
