Go to an Autobody shop or mechanic and see if they can hook you up Via Internet auction. The car could be wrecked or whatever, but it's still your best bet. My boss just got my friend a 98 Civic HB for $660, needs less than a grand to be fixed.

I would check with autotrader or ebay and see if you find any in the area....They always have some kind of deals

check to see if there is an auto wholesaler in your area. I got my sedan for $1400 of a wholesaler a couple years back. Or you could try those drug seized cars the Feds sell. Their damn cheap but you clean up the shit left behind yourself
