Anybody know of any good shops who could build a solid CR-VTEC complete changeover for my rex? Preferably in the Cali region and able to ship to Hawaii. Please list down any websites and numbers..thank you.

Damn expensive though from what I have seen. But I am sure he does a good job. Didn't he used to hang out here a long time ago before he got kicked off?

My boy can build em, how serious are you about it, like you want it really soon? And I can't give you a definet (sp?) price because you can use many different part's. Like using a B18c5 head is gonna cost more than using a B16. Also what type of pistons, rods, and such would you wanna use?

Called R&D, they quoted me 4200 for a CR-VTEC, that's with no motor work done though and includes everything needed to get this in my rex and running. But advancing the intake cams, or you'll snap a valve or something..Don't want that.

Called importbuilders and they quoted 9g's. Whoa! He went on and on about how they'll do this and that..(rods, pistons, new bearings, head work, etc.) I think 9g's is way too steep for me..Anybody other shops around?

There is no way you could launch from 1st and keep the tires from spinning.

Wow! is the torque that vicious...with the CR-VTEC I should be able to scratch all 5 gears then in my rex with a B16 tranny?...being that the axles hold up.:D How about with some slicks, will that help solve some traction problems?

Import Builders.. Jeffs' motors are dyno proven. No one ever said high peformance/quality would be cheap. He has different "crate motor" packages. Figure out EXACTLY what you want and then do the research. Good luck.
