who has the fastest 6th generation I4 accord on this board, and what are your times, mods, and how much did you spend?
i am kinda curious to see if the I4's can be made to out run the v6's for not much money.

are there any supercharger or turbo kits available for the I4??
No superchargers yet, but there is supposed to be a JRSC in the works. As far as turbo, I know of Drag and Fmax.

I don't have any sort of nitrous... yet. In a couple months though, I'm gonna put in a Zex kit precisely because it is easy to install and it isn't a very big shot as not to damage my engine any more than I have to. There's a couple guys in here that have n2o setups. If you ask nicely, I'm sure they'd post some pics.

I don't think im the fastest i4 accord here ..... but im sure i can take out V6's (atleast stock v6) even though ive yet to race a v6... ive taken out 5 speed Ludes and GT-S's which are faster then V6 accords....

gettin my Level Ten setup soon.... i hope that with my current mods will hit mid 14's no prob ;)

I think I can out run V6's too. I have intake, headers, exhaust, cat, pulleys and 55 shot nitrous. I have a VAFC too...but I disconnected because there is no point of running it untuned since it will only hurt the performance of my car.

Same here. I've never come across a stock V6 that I couldn't beat on the street (not to mention auto 4th gen Maximas.) However, I am packing a boatload of mods to get to that level. (Too bad I'm totally chicken about running nitrous; but, I've been considering it more since Nissan came out with a 240hp Altima and a 255hp Maxima.)

Uh, are you saying you gained 50HP from I/H/E, pulleys, cam gears, fuel riser, and a VAFC? I guess I'm just used to mods giving us I4's so little gains that I'm pessimistic about everything now :(

I don't know whether or not I gained 50hp. (I'm going to have my Accord dyno'd this Spring just to see where I am.) Just keep in mind that it's not the mods that give you gains. Rather, it's how you tune those mods. Outside of I/H/E and pulleys most other boltons will require tuning (i.e.: FPR, VAFC, ITC, cam gears)

Also, Level 10 doesn't sell Billet Torque Converters for Hondas. Rather, they take your existing TC and modify it. Pro Tech Transmissions out of NY does the same kind of work as Level 10 (http://www.protechtransmissions.com/importperformance.html) and its cost $1,100 for conversion and installation.

i eat v6's for breakfast!!!!!!

i raced my friend that had v6 accord w/ comptech headers, exhaust, cold air intake and a 65 shot of nos, and i smoked him. he never had a chance!!!!!!!!!
i put down 218hp and 202tq to the wheel @ 7 psi.
just finished building the block going to run 10-12 psi, aiming for at least 240hp to the wheels.:eek:

except for V6's with I/H/E, pulleys, plugs, and a 75shot :D


and for the turbo guy above, make an even match, search out L.I.accord, turbo accord v6 in long island.

I'm curious, did you friend not know how to drive? I have a friend with a t03 running 10lbs and with the juice I still waste him

well. . . a t3/t04 does spool up alot faster than t03. But i would have gone with the t04 if i was to turbo mine. :D
