Ok this morning im goin to school but on tha way there i have to take tha interstate...so im drivin about 80/85 (i wasnt tha only one) and i notice traffic starts to get heavy so then im startin to get mad cuz i dont see any accidents or anything...come to find out there's a cop ahead of tha pack and nobody wants to pass him thinkin that they're gonna get a ticket...from cruising 85 down to 70 for a long way gets a person pretty aggravated...im jus thinkin, "i wish tha cop would take an exit or somethin so i can get back up to speed." so now it jus looks like a big traffic jam with a cop in front and no one moving ahead...i kno this has happend to someone

key word, "legally" cops dont care at times, its common around me for cops to hit the lgihts to blast through stoplights, only to turn them off and keep cruising.

Who would imagine that a cop might need to be somewhere in a hurry? Just because we arent running our lights doesnt mean we arent going to a call. There has to be certain criteria to authorize an emergency response. However, cops that do this job long enough know that even though certain information wasnt articulated to the dispatcher to authorize an emergency response, we still have to get to where we're going in a hurry. That may cause an officer to put his lights on briefly to get through in intersection or most commonly speed past you with no lights at all.
