what is the widest wheels that can be put on a stock civic hatch 98 because i'm thinking of getting some 16x8 not sure if I will need spacers to do it and also will there be any rubbing? What the widest rim you guys are running along with the tire size I hear 205 is common for the widest but let me know thanks.

that would most likely rub. especially when you lower it. i have 16x6.5, 205/45/16, and mine don't rub. hope that helps

i wouldn't go more than a 215 tire. the offset on the rim is more important that the width. they shouldn't have a huge offset somewhere around 30-40 i think is the range you'd want to stay in.
