now that i've gotten my springs and shocks (which are on order), im gonna be looking into new tires for when my stock ones wear away. i'm gonna stick with my stock wheels but what is the widest i can go on the tire?

also, what are some recomended tires i should look into. i want a tire for daily driving, but with excelent grip!

The widest you will want to go with is 225. You can do that on stock wheels, that's what I'm using.

Wouldn't a 45 profile tire be better? It just seems to me that a 40 profile on a 16" wheel would leave alot of gap...

That would be a bad size. There would be a 4.1% speedometer error. Based on the stock size of 205/50/16.

The best size would be 225/45/16....only .4% speedometer error.

I talked to a guy at the tire store and he said a 225/40 would keep the same overall diameter as stock. a 225/45 will be taller than stock therefore making your speedo off
