While sourceing a ZC tranny w/ LSD, I came across a 94 Si tranny that is being installed as I type this. I have gone 14.8 in the 1/4mi with the ZC and DX tranny. My question is will I see better 1/4mi times under the conditions I ran those 14's? How much of and improvement can I expect? Is 14.6 possible with the shorter gearing?

Thanks everyone ;)

how bout not being a smartass ;) Let's see what you have done...come on tell me. The only way you are running that kind of times is with turbo, nitrous oxide or a supercharger running at high psi or a big shot
Ok, Sorry if I came off like a smartass.

I have, Intake,2 1/4" exh., test pipe, p&p'ed Intake Manifold,Lightspeed Header 4-2-1 for 89 integra, 89 Integra ECU, 12lb flywheel, ACT 6 puck race disc.

I have beaten B16A'ed and B18A'ed 88-91 hb's. Call it driver error or driver skill, whatever I don't care. It doesn't take a FI ZC to run 14's. I'm going again tommorow and i'll post times slips with the date and time on them and what ever you want tme to write on them too.

You can raise the BS flag and what not the the only thing that matters is the truth and thats what I'm typing the truth.
Most ZC's need a rebuild and really don't have the advertised 30k on them. I think I got a strong one, that was putted around in. The reson I think this is because it showed signs of lowmileage and very little use when we opened the head and look at the ports and other parts of her.

Once again ,I'm not trying to start a War of ZC vs. B Series.
From my experience a good ZC can Handle a b16 and b18a.

when i had intake and exhaust i dyno'ed at 117.2hp @ 6800 and 102.7 lb-ft @ 5700, most ZC do 110-113hp with i/h/e/ cam gears and around 98-99lb-ft. Once again I feel I have a strong ZC. Maybe a freak, I dunno.

Do I need to post pics of my dyno?

but dude....A 117 whp MOTOR IS NOT going to run that in the 1320...ask ANY OG on this board!! Not even with slicks and a fully gutted interior

PS I'm not trying to flame so don't get all uppity and offended ;)
Ok, that was with intake and exh. and running mid and low 15's. slicks will put me into the low 14's maybe high 13's if i don't break coming off the line. I guess most of you all have bad experiences with ZC's but mine make more torque with int and exh, than SCC's project B16 when it had i/h/e/cat all the way to 5700 from idle. ZC's make better low end torque because of the longer stroke.
