Win8 looks dumb unless you have touch screen.

IE is trash for anything other than business environment where other vendors require it's use for their software compatibility. Use wise, it is shit sauce compared to FF.

XP was the shit but so is 7, and it runs just as well.
for once we agree.......

Also I love how everyone hates on IE though they have no legitamate standpoint to talk smack about it. As if they believe its completely inferior to other browsers.
actually i do have a legitament stand point. I.E. takes forever, it also tends to crash more often than chrome and FF, as for the other browsers i do not know how they compare as i have never used them. but between Ie, FF, and chrome. IE is the worst by far in terms of speed and reliability, this is said considering it has been a web browser for much longer than almost anything out there

Keygens are oldschool. Nowadays you kiddies just download torrents. Also I love how everyone hates on IE though they have no legitamate standpoint to talk smack about it. As if they believe its completely inferior to other browsers.

All other browsers have done (that IE is not) is set up "out of the box" security. Takes me less time to lock IE completely down than it does for any of you guys to download and install any other browser of your choice.

Firefox also has issues with some websites where text stacks up over itself, many more than IE ever has. I don't claim to be a software guru. Infact I usually have an alternative browser installed, also avg, spybot sd, and a few other programs. Im not the only one who uses my pc, and often I forget to lock the box down after installing something.
I hear NetZero is pretty awesome as well...

Your impression of IE must have been from IE7. Which sucked balls. IE8 is much better, I havent had it crash on me near as much as firefox or chrome. Im not saying it doesn't. However all the times I've used it and it has had issues have been on older installations of windows at my parents house where spyware and malware have been removed numerous times.

Firefox chrome or IE8, all of them load pages at virtually identical speeds. IE8 color codes and organizes browser tabs where the other 2 do not. To each his own. Other individuals have speed tested IE8 vs FF and chrome which always comes up as a mixed result.

To be honest the only browser gripe I really have is with none of the above listed browsers. Its actually over a phones browser. Iphone(3g) browser loaded SHO's site so freaking slow, I had a shitty pantec link which for some reason would load virtually all the text first and then the ads and images last. The iPhone wouldnt do shit until a large portion of the page was ready to be displayed.

I got no gripe with 7, and I know it to be a fine operating system(. However why fix something thats not broken? If I had issues Id certianly install it to see if The problem would be rectified. I dont have any new hardware that can take advantage of 7 either. 32 bit proc here, single core so installing 7 probably wouldnt help me much at all.

You should know why Dell has such a bad rap.

They routinely made proprietary power supplies that could only be used in a Dell Mobo . Attempting to use one in a normal computer would do 1 of 2 things, not work, or fry your motherboard from voltage being different from the standard. They also outsourced all their call center jobs to the middle east.

your comp must be stupid old if it's a 32bit processor considering i'm running computers that are 10 years old on win 7 64 bit

also the iphone 3g itself sucks donkey balls, not the browser. you need a 3gs or 4 to have any decent kind of speed with anything.

I've had FF crash maybe once and that was a beta. I see more malware, spyware, and trojans on a computer using IE than any other browser. the thing is awful with that shit. and any other browser is faster.

I haven't had time to do more testing with windows 8, since yesterday while still half asleep I hot swapped the hdd while it was in hibernation. lets just say I'm still reloading programs.

both were shitty 3g phones.

I got an old amd athalon 2800 throughbred 1 gig of ram, and some really shitty video card. like a 128m nvidia Ti4200. For this laptop I bought it at a yard sale for 5 bucks and fixed it up. its a intel celeron 2.0ghtz single core and only has 1 gig of memory as well. lol the wireless card in it is an 802.11b if that tells you anything.

We got a 4g phone. it has a bigger penis than this laptop actually a dual core 1ghtz proc in it. Motorola Atrix, with a downloader program that I installed and my SD card->usb flash drive converter fixing this old pos before I had cable turned back on was a cinch.

Funny that the pinnacle of technology I have is a god damn cell phone.

I agree that you will see alot of infectious material come through IE. Simply by default its got a gaping anus that dwarfs the goatse. Ready for anything to just come and rape it. it only takes 30 second to lock it down though. I went to cracks.am and serials.ws one day without locking IE down. that was a PITA.

LMAO @ hot swapping a HDD. I hate hotswappable crap. unless its usb it often does not have good results.

you don't lock down IE, you delete every shortcut you can and disable it. that's the only true way to make sure you won't get some shit from it.

yeah I can't believe I didn't make sure it was turned off. I'm rather pissed about it.

I hate you. I think the copy of home premium I got was bad. there's no way it could kill me like it did if it wasn't. I gave up and put the win 8 hdd back in. it took me about 30 minutes to fix it since I had to navigate everything by keyboard until I could turn my mouse back on. surfing the toshiba website by keyboard to download the driver took the longest. after I got it installed and restarted everything was good. the os held up much better than win 7 did.

yeah gas mileage went up but you got hairy beast man aids and crabs from the IE8 install.

Ugh. You guys. What folder does IE and pretty much all browsers use when downloading and executing files? For example: when you use "run" instead of download.

Temporary internet files. Lock that folder down. Gpedit.msc is your friend.

you said "win 8 was cool but it still has plenty of instability issues"

win 7 was crashing because you were a douche and hot swapped lol. i gave you a 20 minute fix but you insisted on doing it the neckbeard way which took 2 days to get it sorted out. lol

Also I have officially gotten you daughter hooked on "history's greatest disciple kenichi" lol

when did I say this?

yeah, ultimate was working fine, but then for some reason it started acting up so I decided to just go back to home premium since that's what the laptop came with and I had a key for it, until I found out they canceled the key. it started acting up again and I said screw it and wiped the drive completely clean and put on ultimate again. it froze up last night for some reason and did it today again once. I seem to have a few programs hiding in the background eating up alot of memory. hopefully the 8gb of ram gets here tomorrow. it'll just take a couple days of me leisurely sorting things out to get it running right.
