MY windshield wipers are old and the paint is coming off and it looks grey now. ITs not the blades, but the metal thing that they attach to. I was wondering if i could replace them or paint them or something. I am sure that many people have this problem, and i was wondering what i should do about it since it doensnt look good at all.

Repaint them is the easiest and fastest thing to do. Just make sure you sand them and clean it well. Then, get some black matte finish paint (the same type of finish as the wiper bracket) and spray them with several even but light coats. They'll look like new.

Any shop should have it.
Pep Boys, Advance Auto, etc...
Make sure you buy the paint that is for high temperature, since its gonna sit under directly the sun quite a lot

exactly, easiest and quicker than taking all that time to sand it down then paint it, then wait for the paint to dry... it's like $5/side for the replacement wipers

hes not talking about the wipers that you just replace. hes talking about the arm that hooks up to the wipers.

mine are also fading, you can see the metal underneath. tell me how it comes out if you are going to paint it.

what size sandpaper should i use? I dont want it to look all rough when i get done so i dont know what grit to use without making it look unsmooth.

ohh sorry about the misunderstanding, if that's the case, then take it out and repaint it...
