Just got my Linksys Wireless router hooked up.

Changed my SSID.
Disabled the brocasting
Changed Admin password
Enabled WEP encryption


Now every 5-10 minutes I would lose connectivity.
I tried changing channels from 6 to 11 but I still get the
same results.

There are 3 other WiFi signals that I can detect nearby when
I walk around in my house.

Could the interferance with the other routers be the problem? Anyone
have this issue?

Its wierd because before I enabled the encryption, everything would work fine without any disconnects.

The laptop that I am using is my work issued one. This problem never happens when I am wireless at work.

I used to have the same problem. but longer periods of connectivity. eventually just bought an SMC with better range.

tried upgrading the firmware? you can go to linksysinfo.org and get the satori 4.0 release which is a hacked firmware and it works good
