I am hoping someone knows the wire configuration for the AUX input on the factory (non-nav) stereo. The manual suggests this is for the optional cassette player deck.
I don't want this to sound like an "how i has ipod in carrr l0loll?!?!?11one1!!" post. There are some decent guides on how to get a line-in AUX set up, including this one (which is very good).
But if the stereo is set up to send Next/Previous buttons and so forth to the cassette player, then I could have those control the iPod. The pin configuration for the cable is online. The audio and power would be really easy, and the playback controls would be just a little circuitry.
If anyone has tried anything similar or has any suggestions, let me know!
