my windows media player isnt working. i tried evreything. i uninstalled it then dled version 7.1 again. then i went to version 9 and still nothing. i get a lil window that pops up and says an error as occurred and it shuts down.DAMN it after i just dled transporter and evrything. ne body got ne ideas of wat the problem could be? thx

edit....o and im running on windows 98 and ive got all the divx codecs too

Something on your computer is interfereing with the player, you need to check your system for conflicts.

TRY THIS.........

Are you using Windows 98 or 98se ? If it's 98 then try to upgrade to 98 Second Edition. Since all of your media players are fugged up I would recommend re-installing your Opertaing System. If you have a windows 98/98se cd , you can reinstall through windows, that way you will not lose any data. This should put any missing files back on your system and fix the problem.

BTW. What specific error message is it giving you ? Knowing this may help and keep you from having to reinstall your OS.

im usin jus 98 and i did reinstall it a couple of days ago. its the same message. its summin like media player has encountered a problem and then it closes same with the real player. im completely confused

i uninstalled then reinstalled media player and even upgraded to version 9 still nuttin

how about downloading DivX . My WMP and Realplayer never worked for movies, so i got divx and tehy all work now

thx civ but ive got all the divx codecs alreday. im beginning to think dat its hopless
