I have some z3 fenders (fiberglass) and someone told me if I cut out the little spaces where the ripple is that air would be sucked up in there and it would help (to a certain extent) cornering. I personally don't believe him but I'm kinda curious.

Also, even if it doesn't, has anyone done that and put some mesh in there? If so does it look ok? Just curious.

you would have to be going mad fast for the cuts to make any difference. Just think about it, a huge wing does not do anything for street cars, so you can imagine tiny cuts in the fender
