alright seens i didnt word my last one right ill do it again


all right i have 91 hatch and i put a d16z6 engine it it i had to wire it to si to use the engine i used a 88-91 si dizzy and im useing a 88-91 si ecu.

k well it will sit at idle fine but when i but when im just siting in the car and hold the the gas at 3500 it cuts out

and it gives me a code for top dead senter

more than likly a timing issue. look at the timing marks (if visible) and make sure the crank is in time with the cams.

timeings fine it dont idle rought or anything could it be that im runing a stock si ecu and dont have my vtec hooked up

it could be the vtec but it seems like a timing issue to me. if your getting a code of tdc then it is timing do you know if the ecu had codes before you did swap.

try resetting the ecu. and it probably isnt vtec due to the fact that vtec is wired. which means the vtec lobe on the cam isnt going to do shit since the soleniod for oil pressure cant move the pins. it isnt vtec. it has to be something else. unplug the ecu and let it sit for 20 minutes so it can wipe itself clean. then plug it back in and see if it still throws that code.
