Ok, the following pic is of the driver side zc motor mount. should there be a bolt there? i never noticed it until this weekend...

Whoa,
I looked at mine and our mounts are totally different. My driver side goes in like yours but goes straight to the head once it enters the belt cover. But to help you out it looks like there should be a bolt there. I just ripped my tranny case and tranny mount bcuz a bolt was missing.

yes you are missing the top bolt.

Probably a pretty short 14mm.......
