Today I test drove a black 2000 Integra Type R, and DAMN that thing is SICK! VTEC roared and pushed my ass back in the seat. I hate to say it but it's faster than my damn n2o'd civic. Pisses me off but I LOVED it. I want to blow my motor and get a B18C5. Maybe if I do decided to blow it, i'll run my buddys Type-R hatch and boost mine up to 150 shot. We'll see who wins. Nah If I ever went nuts and decided to run a 150 shot I could only do it on a dyno. What HP do you think I would hit before my engine blew? Conclusion: Type-R's are SICK, I want one and envy everyone who has one. Peace

I knew they were fast but i had never been in one while it was in motion till today. My buddy has a 92SI hatch with an R motor in it but every time I see him his car usually stays put. I dunno, I knew I was going to like it too much. Peace

i dunno man....Type R's are nice..but id take A WRX over it..the R's have too high compression i think..but any ways' my friends R feelz faster cuz he vtec is mad crazy...but my Nitrous accord beat him by a good half- 1 car. i think the reason his feels faster is cuz i have more broad band power...instead of that wicked KICK!...but yeah i like R's for there looks...but R's are like...what Theives love! (btw have you felt the s2k vtec, now thats sumting to feel)

I can obviously tell you have never been in an R or even an s2k at that , I drove the s2k when they came out cuz i was gonna trade my R for it , you cannot even feel or hear the vtec at all , its a smooth transition. The R kicks in like crazy.
Yes WRX's are pretty fast, but they aint al that stock to stock I have run faster in my R than alot of WRX's.

gotta be something, cuz i ran 14.5;s stock with mine
and the s2k doesnt feel like it pulls at all . they have no tq whatsoever, they just dont impress me . from going to the R and jumping right in an s2k 2 min later and beating it tough, i wasnt even close to impressed.

my cousin has an s2k and says the low end power sucks. But the vtec kicks in hard. I have driven a type-r b4 and those things feel really quick. There is a big transition with the vtec engaging. It put me back in the seat. I can't really say anything about s2k but according to my cousin the top end is really good. The vtec pulls hard but its more smoother i guess than the r's instead of a sudden pull.

funny story.. when i first got into imports and honda's. i didnt even know what a vtec was.. i had a 94 civic hatch cx. had my IHE and i was happy.. then my friend comes over with his GSR.. i was like,, what the hell is that thing with those stupid bug lights.. well,, i get in for a test drive and vroooommmm, (vtec) vraammmmmm.... what the hell was that.. i didnt know,, he didnt know.. all we knew was.... do it again... well, the civic had to go.. my my 94 GSR (got stolen 6 months later) and then got my LS (still have her) i missed the vtec so i got my 98 gsr (my new love) but then the same buddy got his new type r.. test drove that and it was back to old times... to bad im out of money right now..ill stick to my NOS for now...
